WVP Dental U is a two-day wet lab taught by Dr. Tammy Renteria, DVM, AVDC at our facility in Coeur D’Alene, ID. Participants, including doctors and technicians, receive education and skills training to help expand and elevate dentistry services at their hospital.
Doctors will learn about diagnosing and treating common oral diseases, including periodontal disease, tooth resorption, tooth fractures, and stomatitis, utilizing dental radiograph interpretation, anesthesia, and extraction techniques.
Technicians will improve skills related to professional teeth cleaning, charting, local nerve blocks, dental anesthesia basics including monitoring for professional dental care as well as gain confidence in obtaining full-mouth dental radiographs.
