Three words that come to mind when I think about my experience with WVP are welcoming, comfortable, and amazing. I joined WVP as the Medical Director at a hospital that was going through a transition. It was an opportunity for me to create a positive culture and elevate the quality of care and I was able to accomplish this with the help of my operational leaders. I felt seen and supported throughout the process and today, our practice is thriving!

It was very important to me to find a partner that was focused on doing the right things, including preserving our practice culture. I talked to several corporate groups, but when I met the team at WVP, I felt a commitment to their culture. And I was right. They really did hold up to their promise and strike a great balance in providing support where we needed it while giving us autonomy to make decisions that were in the best interest of our patients.

We talked a lot about mentorship, and when our practice partnered with WVP, I was given opportunities to mentor new grads at my practice and other WVP practices. As part of the Surgical Mentorship Ambassador Program, I travel to practices in our region to provide mentorship and training in various areas, including routine spays and neuters, tumor and growth removals, and orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.

I am passionate about dogs and cats living healthier lives by combating oral disease. Through partnership with WVP, I developed an immersive and robust continuing education experience for veterinarians. With WVP Dental U, we have expanded the knowledge base of veterinarians in oral disease diagnosis, treatment, and oral surgery techniques. Our goal with this program is to ensure more pets receive high-quality dental care to live more comfortable, healthier lives.

I have had nothing but great support from WVP since the beginning when I partnered Loving Family Animal Hospital and Animal Dental Clinic with the company. I was scared and nervous about the experience, but they made the entire process so easy and comfortable. I wanted my team to be taken care of, and they exceeded that expectation. I had both hospitals then, but the dental clinic was just two years new and still growing. WVP helped me transition from general practice to focus on growing the dental clinic, which was my passion.

When I opened Animal Dental Clinic, my goal was to offer high-quality, affordable pet dentistry to our community. I was the medical director of both practices at the time, and my schedule was crazy. Through partnership with WVP, I was able to focus on my passion for growing Animal Dental Clinic by committing myself full-time. I now have two additional doctors and have focused some of my time on helping veterinary students with externships, etc. I am still the medical director at ADC and continue to provide mentorship to my associates while continuing to see a full caseload. WVP has given me the tools and support to help me grow Animal Dental Clinic.

A few years ago, Carollee asked me to join WVP’s Medical Advisory Board. I was honored to say yes, as I have always taken pride in establishing high-quality medicine protocols and standards and love to help other veterinarians achieve this. WVP has helped Animal Dental Clinic provide mentorship and externship opportunities and wet lab opportunities for CSU vet students.
